Preferred Setup

Three call representatives looking at a computer monitor. All three are wearing headsets.

Overview

There isn’t anything more frustrating for you (and your lead!) than a spotty or weak connection. Here are some of the reasons we’ve seen calls have weak connections:

  1. Multiple devices connected to your headset

  2. Weak Wi Fi signals

  3. Using the wrong browser

  4. No microphone access

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Download Chrome as Your Primary Browser for Hooked

Currently, Hooked is only supported through Google Chrome via a desktop application. If you are using Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or a mobile browser, Hooked will not work for your system.

To download the proper applications, follow the instructions on the Google Chrome website.

Step 2: Use a Dedicated USB Headset with a Working Microphone

While you can use a Bluetooth headset for Hooked, we recommend using a dedicated USB headset. This mitigates Bluetooth connectivity issues and creates a clear signal transmission.

Remember to reset your browser permissions and set your headset as your primary microphone.

If you are having issues with your headset, check our Headset troubleshooting page.

Step 3: Use a Stable Ethernet Connection

It is always best to use a stable, wired Ethernet connection for your internet usage. A weak Wi-Fi connection is generally the first culprit when looking at connectivity issues.

Still Having Issues?

If you were forcefully ejected from the queue, contact your administrator or supervisor. They can reposition you back to where you left off. However, if this is a consistent issue you’re facing, contact our Support Team, and we can help you find a solution.
